Features
Unlock the full potential of your fleet with JDLink™ Boost
JDLink Boost provides customers who live in remote or rural areas a satellite connectivity option where traditional cellular or internet services may be limited or unavailable, ensuring that farmers can stay connected regardless of location. With connectivity being a core element of our tech stack, growers can now unlock new solutions with each production step.
Enabling solutions through JDLink Boost
Real-Time Data Access: Wireless data transfer enables farmers to access real-time data from various sources, including sensors, drones, and machinery. This immediacy allows for timely decision-making regarding irrigation, fertilization, pest control, and harvesting.
In-Field Data Sharing: By sharing data in real-time, farmers can optimize resource use, such as water, fertilizer, and pesticides. This leads to more efficient application processes, reducing waste and lowering costs.
AutoPath™: Automate the creation of equipment paths based on field boundaries and conditions, reducing the time and effort needed to plan and setup operations, which leads to faster and more efficient fieldwork.
Remote Monitoring and Alerts: Farmers can track the performance of their machinery in real-time, allowing them to identify issues or inefficiencies as they occur. This immediate insight helps ensure that equipment is operating at optimal levels.
Connected Support: Customers and dealers can better collaborate to enable proactive service and faster response times to any issues. Solutions like Expert Alerts™, Service Advisor Remote, and Remote-Display Access allow dealers to proactively serve their customers to reduce downtime.
See & Spray™: Machine connectivity plays a crucial role in enabling See & Spray™ technology in agriculture. JDLink Boost™ allows for the real-time transmission of data from sensors and cameras mounted on the sprayer. This data includes images of the crop and information on weed or pest presence, enabling immediate analysis and response.
Harvest Automation: JDLink Boost allows for the integration of various sensors and automated systems that control combines. For instance, GPS and onboard sensors can guide harvesters to optimize their paths, ensuring that crops are harvested efficiently without missing any areas.
How the satellite connectivity solution works
The John Deere JDLink Modem captures machine and agronomic data from the machine. The modem then broadcasts this data via Wi-Fi to the SatCom Terminal where it is then sent to the internet and cloud via satellite network. The data will then reach the John Deere Operations Center. For messages transmitted from the Operations Center to the machine, the same path is followed in reverse.
