BOOM - 90FT APPLICATION WIDTH
The AB640 has a 90ft boom. When applying product you have over a 20% increase over competitive 70ft boom machines. The booms are 78.5” inches off the ground, and are able to travel 104 inches, 52 inches up, and 52 inches down. Boom outlets are on 30 inch centers.
The AB640’s 90 foot boom and large hopper contribute to significantly faster application.
• Fewer passes
• Less compaction
• More acres per hour
• Fewer labour hours
• Lower fuel consumption
• Easier to hit optimal application timing
• Speed up seeding operations by reducing fertilizer load on carts
• Reduction in tractor engine hours and maintenance
• Run slower in rough terrain and still get more done
HOPPER - INCREASED MICRO BIN CAPACITY & ROLL TRAP
The AB640 has a total capacity of 640 cubic feet, with the main hopper holding 540 cubic feet, and a 100 cubic foot micro-bin.
The AB640 the micro hopper capacity has been increased to 100 cu-ft struck from 60 cu-ft on its 9620 predecessor. This equates to a capacity of up to 4 mini bulks of common crop protection products. The micro-hopper is equipped with a flip-gate which allows it connected to them primary bin when apply a single product. The AB640 comes standard with a roll tarp that can be controlled from a switch in the cab, or from ground level.
A solid tarp support between the main hopper and the micro-bin allows the two compartments to be heaped without product spilling between the compartments.
NEW FRAME DESIGN
The AB640 was designed new from the ground up. The new frame that is the base for the unit, is designed to mitigate hitch slap in certain loading conditions. To secure the hopper to the frame, the AB640 comes standard with 8 double ended shear beam load cells. These cells provide a solid mounting point as well as accurate weight readings of remaining product.
Dual 800/65R32 tires on a 20-ton tandem walking beam safely and comfortably carry the AB640’s massive hopper through the field, even in rolling ground and rough conditions.
METERING / PRECISION CONTROL - RAVEN RCM
The AB640 uses the Raven® RCM for precision application control of the primary and secondary metering, including the left/right section control. The Raven RCM is one of the most common, easiest and reliable rate control systems available today.
IN-CAB CONTROLS
The AB640 comes with a switch box to fold and un-fold the booms, lock the booms when folded, and to raise and lower the booms. The switchbox can be upgraded to a joystick if the operators prefers.
