Siblings Ben, Chris, and Amanda Flansburg grew up on a small hobby farm in Western New York, all very active in 4H, FFA, and showing cattle. Through high school, all three siblings gained experience and knowledge through part time jobs on larger farming operations in Western New York. Following high school, all three chose agricultural schools to continue their education. Ben received a bachelors in Ag Science from Cornell University, Chris received a bachelors in Agronomy and Horticulture from Iowa State University, and Amanda received a bachelors in Dairy Science from Morrisville State College.
In the fall of 2008 the Flansburg siblings realized a need for precision agriculture specialists in the highly diversified and ever evolving western New York agriculture industry, and BCA Ag Technologies was created.
In early 2019 BCA Ag Technology joined the LandPro Family creating the Ag Technology Division of LandPro Equipment.
Ben is the manager of the BCA Ag Technologies division and leads our technology sales team. Ben received a degree in ag science from Cornell University in 2006. Ben is married to Sara Flansburg and has two kids, daughter Molly, and son Landon.
Chris is the BCA Ag Technologies division agronomist and leads our data management team. Chris received a degree in agronomy and horticulture from Iowa State University in 2012.
I grew up on a small 50 cow dairy farm in central NY where I learned a passion for agriculture and farming. After high school I attended SUNY Cobleskill from 2002-2004 where I studied Agricultural Engineering. After collage I met my wife Katie and moved to western NY where I was able to work on two different large progressive farming operations before finding my calling in the precision farming world when I started work at BCA in 2012. My wife and I now live in Attica where we have two boys Kyle and Gavin and a 40 cow herd of registered Jersey cows that we milk and show. I am the service manager for the BCA Ag Technologies division of LandPro.
I am a graduate from Albion High School, and Morrisville State College, where I received my degree in Agricultural Business A.A.S. I grew up playing many different sports and always staying active, until one day someone introduced me to my first beef cow and I instantly fell in love. This grew into a full time internship at a local beef and flower farm between semesters in college; and eventually, led to something of my own. I currently am a co-owner of 15 brood Simmental cows and 12 sheep. Both operations keep me busy in my spare time, but it doesn't keep me out of the woods during hunting season. Being outdoors is like second nature to me and when the opportunity arose for me to join the BCA team in January 2018. I am a field operations specialist and lead the "boots on the ground" efforts at BCA.
I grew up around farming and before attending Alfred State College, where I earned two business degrees, I worked on a very progressive dairy farm in the Finger Lakes as a herdsman. Directly out of college I was hired by Lakeland Equipment, now LandPro Equipment, as a Sales Administrator. However I quickly realized that my true passion was for Precision Agriculture. This has led to nearly 14 years and growing of creating relationships with, and finding solutions for growers all over the territory with hardware, software, and data management solutions. I enjoy my job very much and feel I have found a truly enriched career. When my boots are not on company or customer land they are typically on a long trail on a mountain in the Adirondacks where I enjoy completing a new challenge every year!
